How does Pneumatic actuated ball valve works?

The valve consists of a hollow ball (or sphere) with a hole through its center, known as the bore. The ball is positioned within a valve body, which has inlet and outlet ports for fluid flow. The ball valve is equipped with a pneumatic actuator, which is connected to the valve body.  The actuator works with compressed air and is responsible for opening and closing of the valve. To open the valve , compressed air is supplied to the actuator, which put a force on internal components and causes actuator to move. The stem attached rotates the ball allowing the flow. In same way , when the valves needs to be closed the air supply is stopped and actuator returns back to position , thereby closing the valve.
