To play blackjack, the goal is to have a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer without exceeding it. Each card is worth its face value, with face cards (King, Queen, Jack) counting as 10, and Aces counting as 1 or 11. Players are dealt two cards, and they can choose to "hit" (draw another card) or "stand" (keep their current hand). If the hand exceeds 21, the player "busts" and loses. The dealer must hit until they reach at least 17. If the player has a higher hand value than the dealer without busting, they win.
